None at all, really! This is the worst company you can possible encounter!

Worst values, leadership and management styles I´ve ever seen in my 25 years of professional experience. Working environment is so toxic, Managing Director of the office allows people yelling, insulting and bulling other employees without any consequence. If you are looking for a dead end for your career, this is the place!. This company goes all the way by looting on their former employees exploiting them to burn out point by extending working hours from 12 to 16 hours daily, usually 5 days or more in a row!, without paying or making up this extra hours. If you resist this treatment then the harassment is following mercilessly up to the point the only choice is to quit. If you value your health, integrity and dignity you should seriously consider somewhere else to work!

I worked in a U.S. branch of this company. It was a bad experience overall. As others have mentioned, culture varies wildly by office, because of IBI's habit of acquisitions. I think my branch had a particularly toxic culture that carried over from prior to the acquisition. People were unfriendly, management was picky about exact hours worked (even though they sold flexibility during the interview - I felt lied to, honestly), and they lowballed me on salary. Which would have been workable if there were growth opportunities within the organization, but there were not. IBI is very focused on minimizing costs to the exclusion of everything else, which is pretty demoralizing.

Pros

Being one of the largest architectural employers in the country, IBI Group is great for getting a variety of experiences in various specialties from commercial, residential, to cultural, as well as participating in different project stages from RFP responses to construction phase drawings.

Cons

Also because it is the largest arch firm in Canada, it can seem quite corporate at times. Workloads are heavy, but that is not any different from the rest of the industry.
