Pros

Ability to work at your own pace. Pretty much impossible to get fired.

Cons

Working with various dealerships gets old quickly. The stereotypes about car people are very true. Good ol' boys club

Pros

There is a massive amount of experience to be gained working in QA. At some point or another, you'll end up working with just about every department within the plant, and you'll also work with suppliers, design studios, testing facilities, and other plants. You will get CAD& hands on experience, and just about anything else if you try for it. This is a perfect place to gain experience, bulk out your resume. Honda's Core Values are great, and Honda's culture is one of acceptance, learning, and personal growth. But.... see the cons section

Cons

It is trial by fire, with practically zero mentor ship from management. Trying to work with other departments (or even in QA) can prove extremely grating, as they are stuck in their ways. You will always have an incredible amount of work (although they DO pay for overtime, it's possible to make $80k starting....). But the worst thing about working there is management. There are quite a few people who get promoted based on the buddy system. Others are promoted to a position where they can no longer directly negatively impact projects. Some managers want to help, but seriously have no time to help. Some are just terrible leaders AND they are too busy. Unless you would like to become part of management, there is not a whole lot of room for vertical movement. The culture at HMA specifically is stifling. Some associates are just indifferent, self-entitled, lack any motivation, and are quick to shut down any ideas for improvements if it means them having to do work, or even just do something different.
