If you want to work in an environment where you can make a name for yourself and take on increasing challenges, Holland America is a decent place to start a career. There are some travel perks.

Cons

Upper management lack emotional intelligence and rarely promote upward, but one can move lateral. Salaries are a joke, expect 20% less than what you can get elsewhere.

You meet wonderful people from around the world.

Cons

Everything else. No time for anything. Work environment very hostile. They demand translation of documents from you in record time while at the same time your are supposed to do a million other things. They set expectations that are not humanly possible and if you make a mistake, that's all they will see.
