Pros

You get discounted and sometimes free rooms at hotels, flexible schedule, lots of pto and sick time, working from home is the best, lots of activities on site, discounts on non hilton items, many different departments to advance in, great job for stay at home parents and people in school, family members also get travel benefits.

Cons

Sometimes the systems don't work or kick you out mid-call which can make it hard to do your job and its very frustrating, maintenance on the website is always scheduled at a time that's very inconvenient for everyone, communication between people that work at home and people that work on site is lacking big time. Email is the main mode of communication when you work from home and sometimes it's more likely to win the lottery 10 times than it is to get a response from my boss. Policies change so often that it's hard to keep up and then we have agents telling customers outdated information. Not to mention A LOT of hotel workers aren't trained on the hhonors program so they give false info and 9 times out of 10 we're the ones that get yelled at by customers about it and we're left apologizing and trying to fix someone else's mess.

Pros

You get a lot of PTO

Cons

Can we say BULLY Tactics. Lets start with Director and VP level leadership. The director and VP level management is immature and unprofessional. Working for Hilton I felt like I was in high school again. If you are not apart of the clique you are out. The leadership provides little vision and no support. They create a culture of discord and disrespect. I have never seen a group like this. Everyone there treated me like crap and I never truly got an opportunity to thrive. Also, they work in silos and never come together as a team. There is a lot of finger pointing and throwing each other under the bus. Now the work, I have not seen a single project go out effectively, this is due to not working together. I forgot to mention they lead by fear and not respect.. It was a Nightmare. I will never work for Hilton again.. Also not open to new people coming in.. If you have not been with the group for 10 to 15 years, start kissing up.. only way to survive

Pros

Positive, respectful work environment. Well-planned, effective training program. Flexible scheduling that lets me pick my days off. Good discounts and free hotels after training. No commute allows me to keep more of the paycheck.

Cons

Low hourly rate. Tough to make all the metrics for potential bonuses, and Hilton network issues negatively impact these metrics. At times system and network connection issues make it tough to do the job, and they are fairly regular occurrences. These are the only truly negative issues of consequence I have experienced, so far.
