Pros

People are generally friendly and nice to work with. Some new members of the HR team look promising.

Cons

VERY profit driven and most parts of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence operate and make decisions based on quarterly P&L. As a result, there has been a tradition of underinvestment in critical areas of infrastructure and process. Finance team have way too much control of the running of the business which results in poor decisions and too much short term focus. Dysfunction exists everywhere and the level of competence for such a big organisation is surprising. Not sure how shareholders put up with it, but squeezing out profit on a quarterly basis probably helps. Lacks an authentic approach to employees and running an engagement survey every 3 years, internal mentoring programs and general approach to talent development feels like a check box exercise rather than driven by a desire to invest in people.

Pros

I worked in the Manufacturing intelligence division of this organization. There is very little to like about this company or division.

Cons

There is no consistency, no focus on improvement, and no focus on employee well-being. The management philosophy seems to be to acquire companies in high-growth markets and manage costs by paying sub-par compensation to employees. There is no oversight, no consistency in process, and a propensity for behavior that borders on unethical. I did not have a single training during my time there which amazes me still.
