Pros

There is a fun and competitive environment. You are given a high level of responsibility and the freedom to manage our own work load. Highly supportive managers and a friendly atmosphere.

Cons

Longer working days, but that makes sense with the job. Salary and benefits could be better, but there are monthly bonuses available to interns who successfully hit their KPI targets.

Pros

There are plenty of opportunities to progress, and working your way to the top is a possibility for anyone who wants it enough. The initial and ongoing training is fantastic, and I always feel there is someone to turn to or call should you need help or advice.

Cons

The hours are long, and it is rare that you go home on time - but you get out of Hays what you put in, so this is not necessarily a "con". Furthermore, the basic salaries at Hays seem to be below that of other companies in the same industry, and commission potential is significantly effected based on what desk you run and where - although this is always going to be a debated issue.
