Pros

Staff Discount. Some support staff a pleasure to work with. Product quality. Wage was decent.

Cons

I worked for BOSS for just over a year. In my interview they admitted my role had seen some serious turnover, and this should have been a huge red flag for me, but I was blinded by the brands prestige. In the six months leading up to my resignation, I experienced what I can only describe as consistent subtle bullying and neglect. There is a huge imbalance with positive and negative feedback, with negative feedback being the regular meal of the week. Not once in my time within the company did I feel celebrated, welcome, supported or important. Upper management displayed a serious lack of empathy, choosing profits over the mental and physical health of the team, unless forced. On multiple occasions I was made to feel uncomfortable for speaking up or even just opening my mouth at all. Everything that went wrong was all my fault, and any reasonable explanation was shot down as excuses or "lack of accountability" or "lack of planning", followed up with zero support or training. Picture trying to swim to the surface of a lake, but someone keeps pushing your head back underwater as you breach the surface only giving you a few seconds to catch your breathe. Zero training after the initial onboarding is complete, so career progression is nonexistent. The support my replacement received upon my departure was clearly a far cry from the support I was receiving in my hour of need, leading me to believe there might be a culture of discrimination against my homosexual status. I suffered multiple panic attacks, crying fits, and was pushed to the edge of a full-blown nervous breakdown. I would not recommend anyone working for BOSS.

Pros

Putting outfits together for customers who need fashion/style advice. There is the 'Hugo boss University' online training courses which you have to complete during shifts back of house on the computer which can help the day go by, looking at visual merchandising and brand strategies etc etc.

Cons

very commission driven job which created an unhealthy competitive work environment amongst employees. some people would be unfair and take your customer whilst you've almost finished up a sale. everyone is given their own personal sales targets each week that you have to hit. mainly men working there, most of who were sexist towards any female employees. even had a couple young customers observe this and call them out! most of the customers are older wealthy men, had a lot of gross interactions, you get the vibe. also theres a lot of shop lifting at that shop so be careful

Pros

Some of the collegue’s are nice. But management makes it hard to enjoy the place of employment.

Cons

Some of the collegue’s are very competitive even when you don’t want to partake in competition. Management is out there to get you, instead of supporting you. Hiring you just to find reasons to fire you.
