Pros

-A big global brand, looks good on your CV -Relative international exposure in some work streams (depend on your projects) -Humane company culture, you won't hear alot about direct negative stories from people working here -benefits are quite decent with generous medical coverage and alot of annual leave -Most people are decent and nice including management on a personal and surface working level

Cons

-Although it's a big brand in the finance industry, vs competitors it's still very backward and weak in terms of tech, proposition and product offerings -This largely depends on your team and direct management, but my experience is that it's a very complex and silo working environment (you'll find lot's of undercurrents and poor mentality of many workers with passive aggressive behaviour which is cultivated by poor inactive management) -Quite a few management are poor in terms of leadership ability and do nothing about it -The ranking and pay banding has poor consistency, if you're lucky, you go in with lesser experience but a high banding

A global bank in name

Pros

Health cover and benefits are good, especially compared to the cost of paying for these benefits out of your own pocket. You will have access to a network of people with a vast array of international experience, which is great for learning about what happens outside of your country and expanding your own horizons. This can lead to opportunities overseas.

Cons

Pay reviews have been poor in recent years, and it is easy to stagnate unless you are fast tracked or are motivated to progress your career. Even in the case of the latter there are no guarantees. It really depends what you want and expect from a career here, and also input from your line Managers.
