Pros

work from home. brand name for people who want to retire legacy tech stack

Cons

24 by 7 support. old technologies. if you can cringe lick manager feet you can stay here. it is very common to hear in scrum call by banking heads heads that if you will not do this that we will fire you. if you want high bp, sugar problem pls join them. no respect for team members. on consultant level if you do a very minute mistake on pre prod env and production is delayed you wil have to face PIP or leave the job. if your manager escalation will happen twice or thrice no problem he is at senior position no one is firing him or her. managers behave even worst then a begger on the road. mental harassment. you have to purchase stationery for office work they dont provide. no cups and even glasses in pantry for tea coffee or water. to get parking you have to enter in the building by8:30 otherwise your 1 hr will be wasted for finding the parking. its very common by managers to ask people to escalate against other team manager other wise get ready for worst appraisal. my manager argued me when i was onsite and doing pre prod env build. i explained them i dont have even time to go to rest room that much work loadis here. he told me your pee time is not calculated as work hours. this is the attitude managers have in hsbc. my manager was also very character less person he favors girls and does sitting agreement in such manner so he always surrounded by ladies.
