      Pros

      We [used to] make the world's best audio equipment. Lot's of opportunity because people "just disappear" - never a word of thanks for all they've done, etc. They just disappear...

      Cons

      Since Sidney Harman left., the new regime seem to view the company as their personal cookie jar. Reading SEC reports shows the Executive Committee regularly exercises/sells every one of the considerable options they grant themselves. In the Infotainment division (where 5/6 of Harman's revenue is generated), Harman is no longer a technology company because that costs too much. Now our focus is on providing software services

      We did our best to please them, we worked very hard and long days, they rewarded us by moving overseas.

      Pros

      The best reasons to work there are that there is always overtime if you wanted it, I did have wonderful co-workers who were fun to work with. The job was challenging with something new to handle every day.

      Cons

      There were absolutely no opportunities for advancement. Raises were the same across the board for the best and the worst workers, no incentives to go above and beyond the norm. There was a very poor work/life balance, we were forced to work 6 and sometimes 7 days a week for weeks on end.

      Pros

      The are not many good reasons to work here.if you stay in the company for to long there may be chances of growth

      Cons

      No work life balance. Employees are expected to work during weekends. Hike is not as per one's effort or performance. Senior management is really poor.
