Pros

Cutting edge technology; good top-down communication (sometimes repetitively); encourages creative thinkers and teamwork; beautiful offices; extra perks like weekly donuts and coffee carts

Cons

BIG egos in the partner ranks; attorney doors are more often than not closed (literally and figuratively-speaking); secretive; office layout not conducive to integration; penny pinching

Pros

Less bureacracy than most large firms, well run by sr management.

Cons

Need to bring in your own business or career will stall. Offices are supposed to collaborate, but often do not, resulting in using other offices as mailbox counsel at best, ignored at worst.

Pros

In general, the people are great people to work with; the firm is also great for knowledge sharing, information, technology, resources.

Cons

There was poor communication between senior management and everyone else. Also, the business model (one that compensates based on hours billed, even for partners, rather than necessarily for client origination), encourages partners to hoard work in slow times.
