Cons
Totally an eat-what-you-kill environment. Don't believe promises from CEO and recruiting team that other GT lawyers (esp partners) will introduce you to their clients so you can pitch your practice specialty, or that you'll be brought into existing matters. Partners are seized by the fear of other lawyers poaching their clients, or cutting them out of credit. If you don't have a book of business of adequate size to support yourself/team, don't go there thinking that referrals of new business will increase your practice. It doesn't happen. On top of that, the firm has a mixed reputation depending on the practice area and some clients simply will not come over with you. Get a sense of client perceptions of the firm before you make a move.
