onsite benefits are good, work can be interesting

IT is very poorly regarded, the rest of the company literally looks down on you. You will have ZERO chance to progress and grow. Promotions are almost unheard of. The middle managers are bullies, passive aggressive and narcissistic. Unless you are in their cheer leading group you will not recieve a worthwhile bonus / payrise / shares no matter how long / hard / well you work There are people in IT who have been here well over 10 years and NEVER had any kind of promotion!! descussing pay is forbidden and a sackable offence. so you have the situation where one of the bosses 'pets' will be earning vastly more than other members in the team, in many cases with less experience and doing less actual work! only new and exciting projects will get you noticed and rewarded, regardless of any business benefit. hard work is definitely not rewarded - you have been warned!
