Pros

The company is not able to retain qualified employees in the long term. The only positive is therefore the station entry in the CV.

Cons

Operations Management: Instead of creating a supportive and motivating work environment, some employees were regularly put down, criticized and their contributions not appreciated. This behavior created a lack of trust, respect and teamwork within the company. It was extremely disappointing to be treated in a condescending manner instead of encouraging and recognizing skills and ideas. Management showed a general disinterest in the needs and concerns of employees. Management had a problem dealing with employees who had profound level of self-confidence and initiative. Instead of nurturing these employees and capitalizing on their strengths, they have often been devalued, belittled, even bullied. This form of abuse created a hostile work environment in which employees were afraid to voice their ideas or share their opinions. Home-Office: Givaudan has not lived up to expectations. The lack of home office opportunities had a negative impact on work-life balance and productivity. There was no flexibility to get work done from home, which was a major burden, especially in situations like long commutes or personal commitments. Conclusion: It is disappointing that a company like Givaudan, which positions itself as a leader in the industry, has not been able to create a supportive and respectful work environment and implement modern working models. Especially, providing a disrespectful and despising individual the opportunity lead the site management position is inexplicable.

Pros

Most of the people are truly talented and good to work with. Post pandemic has been more flexible with WFH. The company has quite a lot to offer in terms of benefits. Compensation is ok.

Cons

Poorly managed, some talent is selected to be fast tracked but if your not you will have trouble with growth. The agility is poor which causes client issues. They don’t ever fire anyone, the worse you do, the more likely you are to be promoted. HR is a nightmare. The systems are heavy and not user friendly. Resignations are at an all time high and rather than replace the talent they are redistributing the work.

Pros

Good pay, flexibility and overall great company and future outlook.

Cons

This could be an amazing company to work for however management (team leaders) play favorites and are unable to be unbiased with employees that are also their friends. Aggressive and territorial coworkers make for a toxic work environment. These coworkers are able to lie and manipulate without consequence because of their relationship with their group leader. Going to HR is not an option because management will not admit what is going on and typically HR will side with management as group leaders or managers will find ways to blame the bullied employee.
