Operations Management: Instead of creating a supportive and motivating work environment, some employees were regularly put down, criticized and their contributions not appreciated. This behavior created a lack of trust, respect and teamwork within the company. It was extremely disappointing to be treated in a condescending manner instead of encouraging and recognizing skills and ideas. Management showed a general disinterest in the needs and concerns of employees. Management had a problem dealing with employees who had profound level of self-confidence and initiative. Instead of nurturing these employees and capitalizing on their strengths, they have often been devalued, belittled, even bullied. This form of abuse created a hostile work environment in which employees were afraid to voice their ideas or share their opinions.
Home-Office: Givaudan has not lived up to expectations. The lack of home office opportunities had a negative impact on work-life balance and productivity. There was no flexibility to get work done from home, which was a major burden, especially in situations like long commutes or personal commitments.
Conclusion: It is disappointing that a company like Givaudan, which positions itself as a leader in the industry, has not been able to create a supportive and respectful work environment and implement modern working models. Especially, providing a disrespectful and despising individual the opportunity lead the site management position is inexplicable.
