since it is a state entity, there may be more competitive salaries in industry, however, the job security is very good

Great reputation, dynamic faculty, interesting research, good service orientation, good benefits package so far. New President seems quite good, wants to do a new strategic plan to position Georgia Tech for the next 10-20 years.

Cons

Students can be on the conservative side, state budgets, library budget never big enough even in good economic times.
