Pros

International students at Georgia Tech get full tuition waiver when they work with a professor as a 100% research assistant. This goes a long way to reduce your tuition loan.

Cons

Atlanta may not be a great city to live in for everyone. If you are looking for an erudite environment of Boston or San Francisco, you won't get it here.

Pros

Excellent connections with industry and otherwise. Lots of resources and equipment if you know who and how to ask. Looks great on a resume.

Cons

Getting and keeping funding for projects can be difficult. Working with professors is rewarding but it is easy to get stepped on.
