Highly-ranked departments, lots of research funding available, stable environment in tough economic times, Atlanta is a great city, education is a very gratifying field. Collaboration/Joint Department with Emory Medical School is very promising.

Cons

government bureaucracy can be discouraging from time to time, international reputation is still in the early stages due to being a public school located in the South.

The university is full of clever and intellectual people which makes is a great place to be in. The city is fine as well.

Cons

Everyone is working too much and many times there is not much time for human relationships such as going to lunch etc...

Excellent school, it is one of top engineering school in US good location, the campus is right in the middle of city

Cons

Gatech is not very academic driven. Also, it lacks of human resource and industry supports from the surrounding area.
