Pros

I have had the privilege of being a GRA for a year now, and I am so thankful for the work I get to do. My advisor is genuinely a good person and has been supportive every step of the way. The tuition waiver is a great benefit!

Cons

Not really any that I have faced

Pros

The research is typically flexible, the school has a great deal of resources and talented and varied faculty members that teach courses not otherwise offered at smaller universities.

Cons

It's easy to get lost in the mix with so many people, make connections ect... Georgia Tech does NOT have an "incubation" year for Ph.D. students ,YOU MUST COME IN WITH OUR OWN FUNDING, so make sure you talk to professors and confirm this before you commit to Georgia Tech.
