Pros

Pros are the three day weekend every other week. It is pretty laid back here and not a lot of supervision which can be a good or a bad thing. They will never lay anyone off and it's really tough to get fired.

Cons

PAY AND RAISES. The pay is crap compared to most aerospace companies and the raises are a JOKE. You have to wait a whole year to get a 3 to 5% raise depending on if your supervisor likes you. A lot of politics here just like anywhere else and it seems as though all the higher ups are Caucasian, so you know you're chances of moving up to management are slim. A lot of workers are very content so the company doesn't expect employees to try and work their way up the ladder. Pretty much being in tight with the right people is the only way to move up quickly in this company.

Pros

- Great benefits (healthcare, 401k matching, pension) - Hard to get fired (this is also a con) - Smaller company so a little more lax than extra huge corps - Individually owned, so a little more stable

Cons

- Hard to get raises once you're in the company, so try to get a good starting pay. The grading scheme "meets", "high meets", "exceeds" is highly based on how many high achievers are in your group. They can only rarely give out an "exceeds" and limit the number of "high meets" even if everyone is really good. - Hard to get fired. This is a good thing I guess, but what ends up happening is you get stuck with some people that really shouldn't be in the position they're in. I think HR doesn't want lawsuits so they do everything they can to not fire people.

Pros

The benefits at GA are unheard of! The managers and my co-workers are all great and the support from my HR and Admin divisions are great.

Cons

I do not currently have any complaints.
