Pros

Great location and clothing discounts. 50% of product for yourself 20-30% off everything else. Healthy work environment and supportive in career changes.

Cons

Work becomes predictable. Overly female environment not many men in the work force this could be a plus for some. Sometimes expectations are not clearly defined and are overly complex causing a lot of rework. The Brand image is suffering feels like the brand is over the hill but is trying to cling to its hay-day of the late 90s although styles and market place have changed. Causes a lot of confusion when target market and goals change too frequently. Systems and tools are antiquated or cumbersome and most often you are not given all the resources necessary to complete a typical task.

Pros

It is a job in this town, which is something to say the least. Working at this store is an entry level position in any field, whether it be management or customer service. The store is large, but it's very difficult to maintain any connections for future references since management is constantly being shifted between other locations. Often you'll leave the store one day to return the next with a new manager, ruining any sense of personal relationships. Annual reviews are intended to evaluate your standing in the company, but if you're not available for that time frame you're simply overlooked.

Cons

In-and-out management, mediocre employees, horrible customers, just to name a few. The stores are understaffed due to lack of profits, but there's a severe lack of profits due to the company's inability to branch out into modern sales models involving the internet. The management, when available, is always on the edge of their toes trying to maintain profit goals due to pressure from higher management, but there's absolutely no hope of reaching them. Proper due is rarely paid to the unionized workforce, with new employees often being paid more than those working for a year or more even when they have no experience.
