Gap is a very strong brand with a great deal of customer loyalty. The people who work their are passionate, bright, and fun to work with.
Cons
Because the pace of work is so fast, there is very little reflection on each project; it's just on to the next task. This makes it difficult to know where to improve. Sr. Management is detached from the average employee and so decisions can sometimes be made in a vacuum.
Cool people, and it's the GAP! Pays well too. I think the company is well organized with efficient processes in place. The cafe is amazing, check out the view on a nice summer day, pretty unbeatable. The location is great, very convenient commute for anybody in the east bay, peninsula, or SF.
Cons
Work life balance isn't always great. Kind of a scene. They try to reinvent the wheel on a fairly regular basis. I think that the GAP could be very successful if they focused more money on talent and less money on a new system for this or that every year.
