Pros
I enjoyed my experience at Gap Kids/Baby. Co-workers were (mostly!) great to work with, I enjoyed outfitting families, and my favorite activity was merchandising and floor sets, which management generally tried to schedule me specifically for. Scheduling was also pretty flexible, and I could request not to be scheduled usually without difficulty.
Cons
I worked as an associate at Gap for over 5 years. While management knew I was in college and was not going to make a career out of sales, there weren't any positions for me to advance to. When I was leaving though, 'expert' positions were being introduced. Also, this is par for the course, as sales is very transitional business, it could be quite difficult working with seasonable help, who really didn't care about the job.
