Many good people trying to do the right thing for for clients despite formidable managerial, technical and organizational obstacles

Cons

It's all about what you've done for me lately. No managerial long term view or strategy. All that counts is new business with little or no valuing of persistency or client retention. Business model of buying small firms makes integration and consistency impossible. No regional or national cohesion or sense of purpose. Support staff are not valued, resulting in damaging turnover rates.

The only pro to working for this company is the management being so incompetent they had no idea what we were doing so good work/ life balance by default.

Cons

As a result of the pros there is no drive/ motivation to feeling fulfilled or accomplished within your role. Being poorly managed to the point you're ignore isn't something to feel good about!
