Pros

- interesting clients - Boston location - passionate coworkers (apart from management - review won't let me post without a minimum of 20 words, so adding this here.

Cons

- you will not have a life outside of work. You are expected to work or be available to work, 24/7. No exceptions. If you call in sick, you are expected to work. If you take a vacation day, you are expected to work. Weekends are for work, not for doing the things at home to keep your family functioning. - Very political. No way of resolving issues. Management doesn't care. - account executives treat client and office service staff with incredible disrespect. - huge turnover. Large amounts of burnout, many employees seen crying or panicking. Managers don't care. - very questionable processes and ethics on the larger corporate scale. Professional standards for some processes border internal E&O risk. - older, long-term employees post-merger are being fired quietly. - expensive benefits that cover only the bare minimums. But you can (wait for it) do even more work to jump through hoops for meager "discounts" on it. - everything is done on the cheap. But they spent millions apparently in marble and perks at the new corporate office. Meanwhile, starting in August we'll have to pray to get pens and paper.

We agree with you that Gallagher has amazing coworkers and a great location in Boston. As a company, we try to listen to everyone’s feedback and care about the outcomes. What you are reporting about being time off expectations is inconsistent with Gallagher’s paid time off and attendance policy. Gallagher is committed to equal employment opportunities regardless any characteristic protected under federal, state or local law. Gallagher provides multiple ways for employees to address any issues they may have -- working with their immediate manager is one avenue. Employees can also reach out to a divisional or regional Human Resources Manager or Director; the Corporate Human Resources Department; or to the Ethics and Compliance Hotline, which provides the opportunity to remain anonymous, at (888) 878-6236. Gallagher encourages anyone with suspicions of misconduct to come forward, and we prohibit retaliation.

Pros

They offer great perks, bonuses, raises (for a profitable year).

Cons

A lot of office drama and cliques. Also hate the cubicle layout of the office.
