People that I worked with are extremely smart and qualified.

Cons

Management hires smart people to run them over with their unqualified and silly takes. You're micromanaged by the clueless who are painfully insecure and need to appear important and all-knowing.

Decent pay, some managers are excellent, a lot of fantastic colleagues

Cons

Too much idiot-proofing by way of endless box ticking and processes over proper training and education so people can make good judgement calls.
