GSK has become so large that they now place legal liability as their driving concern. Sales plans are now so restricted and ultra conservative that they seem written directly by the legal department. If you have to ask whether you can do something the answer in inevitably, "no, let's just be safe". Sales goals and compensation plans are also so one-size-fits-all that they can not adequately compensate for huge differences in marketplace demographics and trends.
