Pros

Situated near Joo Koon station is a plus because of a lack of transport allowance and that company transport is regarded by SLT as a “goodwill”. Read that again

Cons

Ever since the power shift in 2022, the Jurong site has been going downhill. The change in leadership is the root cause for this phenomenon. New leadership team appears to prioritize patronage-based relationships as a guiding managerial philosophy. This orientation has cascaded throughout the organization, fostering an environment in which accountability, mutual respect, and integrity are notably deficient across hierarchical levels. Consequently, leadership practices are often characterized by the deflection of responsibilities, appropriation of credit, and the maintenance of an outward appearance of stability despite underlying dysfunction. Within this context, highly competent employees may be perceived as threats to the existing leadership structure, particularly where there is limited capacity for substantive intellectual engagement. This dynamic has contributed to successive waves of resignation, resulting in the loss of specialized expertise that previously underpinned the site’s development. Overall, the organization reflects a culture in which ego-driven leadership supersedes principles of humility and effective governance. The People have woken up. Individuals increasingly recognize the value of their competencies within the current market. The surge in resignations can be interpreted as a collective expression of disenchantment and disengagement, signaling a profound erosion of legitimacy and confidence in existing leadership structures. This prevailing phenomenon may be understood as an incipient form of a major revolution where a broader overhaul of authority is mandated by the People.
