Pros

During a time of so much uncertainty, I really feel like the company is going above and beyond to share information in a timely, relevant, and helpful manner. There's really no playbook for what's going on in the world, and how a 21st century business should survive a pandemic, but GLG has become a company that is adaptable and informed. I'm really appreciative for that. I've also been incredibly impressed with the commitment to Social Impact. The company is standing by their commitment to Fellows, expanding our Partners Program, and opening our network to so many relief organizations who are on the front lines of COVID-19 and could use expert insight. Having the opportunity to make a difference at a time when it feels so hard to is unique, important, and rewarding.

Cons

Between working from home and having a cell phone that receives emails at all hours, it can be hard to find that ability to "turn off." But I think the company is doing a good job at trying to message to not only employees but their managers as well that it's important to be mindful of requests, projects, etc. coming in too late or early, especially during a time when people are already struggling with the blurred lines between work and home.

Pros

Countless managers, clients, and experts have taken the time to have REAL conversations with me about professional development. I came to GLG eager to grow my career and I have been equipped throughout my time here with the tools and guidance to do so. You will see plenty of reviews on how impactful the people are at GLG and I cannot express how true that is. There is a culture of ask anybody anything that allows folks of all levels of experience to learn from everyone around them. Junior professionals are empowered to speak up when they have an idea, managers will amplify the voice of those below them, and the leadership team takes the time to listen to everyone. I moved to Austin for GLG not knowing anyone. I recently moved back to NYC w/ GLG bringing with me friends for life and the ability to grow a business. From a very early point in my career I was trusted to cultivate relationships with CEOs of F1000 companies and be a thought partner for leaders within the finance industry. I have learned more from this job than I ever thought would be possible.

Cons

I think folks can get tired of the evolution. I personally cannot consider that a con. GLG has always been willing to try new strategies in order to stay the market leader. Not all strategies work but we’ve been smart enough to know when to pivot. Current leadership in Americas have put in place a stellar attack plan that has positively impacted all professional across the organization.

Pros

I've had the chance to work with some of the smartest, kindest, and most curious people in my career. People believe in the mission of GLG, and it shows. Work hard and drive results, and you will have an opportunity to grow and learn both professionally and personally. Ultimately, it's what you make of it.

Cons

Change is a reoccurring constant. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it can wear you down if you're not ready for it.
