Toxic work culture

Pros

They don't much care about your background

Cons

The company has a very toxic work culture. Manager doesn't care about views or execution. The expectation is only to keep working 24/7. You can't trust the seniors or leadership of the company

Pros

-Personable, outgoing people culture -Leadership takes time to be involved with junior level positions -They reach you so much about the business unit you are placed in despite your lack of experience in the field before the job. Don’t worry about not having majored in finance for example. A lot of people come from liberal arts backgrounds that don’t seem relevant to the current job purpose -Kind of unlimited PTO: they usually account for employees to take 15-20 days off but it’s super simple to ask for time off -Promotion usually within a year

Cons

-If you’re working in the financial services business unit, you will be working a lot! Be prepared to learn a lot of GLG specific things/ways to do your job. -You may burn out if you don’t communicate to your manager or leadership about your workload.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, flexible WFH policy (or was while I was leaving), develop good phone skills which is something that millennials tend to struggle with

Cons

- Micromanagement at its most extreme - Absolutely no work/life balance (was once sent something at 11:45pm and asked to have it "published" before midnight) - Constant revolving door of employees, everyone that you help train ends up leaving - Non-stop meetings about absolutely nothing - Dealing with rude, arrogant, incredibly needy clients, and team has absolutely no ability to say no to outlandish requests (the clients ask for the impossible to be done in less than an hour) - Was remote for my entire time with GLG - couldn't even take a quick bathroom break without having to ask permission from my team lead
