seems like a glorified call center people with advanced degrees aren't valued salaries lag work gets boring quickly having to deal with pompous hedge fund managers difficult spot in growth curve

Pros

You are working with the cream of the crop from the academic world. The pressure is intense, but everyone across the board handles the pressure positively and professionally. It's great training.

Pros

Lots of smart young people working together in close quarters. I have many friends that I hope to keep with me for years to come. Some clients in my practice area are very smart.

Cons

I cannot think of worse leadership than Gerson Lehrman's. The CEO has never visited my office and the executives in my office give us new goals and objectives every month. HR doesn't seem to care about the employees and I'm not sure that anyone has a clue above my manager.
