      Good place to develop relationship management skills and work with smart clients Very strong corporate culture and collegial environment Good mobility between offices and opportunities to work abroad for those who are interested and show commitment to the company

      Cons

      Learning curve flattens quickly Expert advice space is now fairly crowded and GLG is no longer the unchallenged market leader Broader dynamics in the alternatives/ asset management industry will make GLG less relevant (e.g. switch to passive, consolidation of hedge fund industry, substitute products)

      Access to leaders in industry, relaxed atmosphere, good people.

      Cons

      The work in non-leadership positions becomes mundane pretty quickly. Not the most intellectually stimulating job. Everything is just average. The interview and on-boarding process make the job seem like something it's not.
