Pros

opportunities to talk to sophisticated professionals opportunity to grow within the company can learn a host of soft skills in addition to time management & project execution great co-workers aesthetically nice work environment

Cons

a pretty numbing and mindless job leadership is phony and bent on branding GLG with no employee buy in once you learn the skills needed, you'll plateau and senior tenured employees basically do the same work as junior associates high attrition bad work life balance, expect to set up projects at night and on weekends

Pros

The best thing about GLG continues to be the people--GLG is excellent at hiring interesting and curious people that are generally a joy to work with. The offices are nice, particularly Austin's new office.

Cons

GLG trying very hard to find ways to create more role differentiation and professional development, but to be honest, the job just gets really old after a while. It's very hard to stay motivated. The have also way over-invested in metrics in a short period of time, with some teams being at a severe disadvantage on certain metrics over others. This has very real implications for workers when it comes to work-life balance, promotion, salary, and bonus, and it is very de-motivating to some excellent talent that frankly just gets screwed.
