Pros

barely living wage although not exactly if you divide it over the hours you're expected to work without clocking overtime

Cons

This "job" is a scam; I graduated from a top tier university and spent 8 months working in the "Senior Associate Program" after I had spent a year in the Peace Corps. They lie to you about the nature of the work that you'll be doing-- I spent my whole day cold messaging people on LinkedIn. The workplace has very little racial diversity, and it is cliquey in a fratty, unintellectual way. Only apply if you literally have no other option.

Jump off this sinking ship

Pros

Smart colleagues. Interesting office. Good location. Coffee bar. HR seems to want to improve a very toxic situation, which is hopeful.

Cons

Working at GLG will give you whiplash. Management consistently puts their egos ahead of the health of the company. The manipulation and control goes beyond any normalcy. Healthy and winning companies can’t operate like this. I feel for the new CEO, who has to now deal with the man children who ran this company into the ground. There is no trust. My advice: if you are here, get out now. If you are thinking of applying, don’t. You are simply a pawn at a crappy company that won’t win long term, unless the entire upper management changes. They only care about using you to reach impossible targets so they can fill up their own pockets and “CYA.” You don’t matter here, you will be used.

GLG Response
8y
It was disheartening to read this review. Not only is the leadership team committed to scaling our company’s current success, we are invested in the success and growth of every team member. To call GLG a sinking ship does a disservice to all of the employees who have worked so hard to produce the record growth we’re seeing today. And it’s categorically false: in my humble opinion, there’s never been a better time to join GLG- our business performance is strong and there’s a commitment to continuously improve our leadership, our internal programs, and the employee experience.

Pros

Working with Smart people, interesting topics, coverage to wide range of industries and niches that allow you to understand future career path. Alot of potential. Good jumping stone into a wide range of jobs.

Cons

Micro Management, Poor Upper Management, Focusing too much on optics rather than results and employee satisfaction, no care for employees needs, outdated model of staying back unnecessarily. Work is repetitive and monotonous . Clients don't care.
