Pros

Literally none as far as I can see Used to be a good company

Cons

-Higher and unachievable targets which impact take-home pay as quarterly bonuses are depending upon attainment to these impossible targets -Cuts to maternity leave benefits in the UK. Used to be generous, now the minimum government requirement the same which is offered to a McDonald’s hourly worker

Pros

- office is nice - peers are nice - has the potential to be great - can comfortably focus on things outside of work (e.g. studying)

Cons

- poor leadership and middle management - hard to respect your managers who have big egos and are untrustworthy - mediocre learning opportunities - no inspirational leaders (all the best people left) - unethical / low integrity leaders are rewarded - the culture is now best described as apathetic indifference. No one is trying to win a marathon here... - clients are no longer prioritised

Avoid GLG

Pros

You'll learn how to be a great button pusher, work through monotonous inefficient workflows developed by out of touch favoritism-focused managers, and you'll trauma bond with your colleagues over your love of the barista because you barely get paid enough to afford coffee, the occasional free lunch, or struggle to survive the absolutely insane work hour demands. A great place to work if you want to see how clients truly treat consulting firms that don't do a good job - you will be your client's "intern" and treated as such.

Cons

Where to begin. Long story short - do not work here. From 3 CEO's in 6 years, to 0 transparency with the board, fake narratives presented in board meetings to ensure certain higher ups maintain their jobs and the company has a rose-colored outlook. Manipulative leadership that will throw you under the bus and pit directors against each other. Zero change management, training or executive support with initiatives. Many unprofessional statements/emails, lying, throwing shade in meetings by C level people, etc - it's like a frat full of dysfunctional college grads with unregulated emotions and managers who come from the same pool due to internal promotions. A never ending cycle. There's some great apples, but a lot of really bad ones that take advantage of others and continue to play games to get promoted. Slashing everything from professional development, benefits, pay, bonuses and continuing to use Covid as an excuse as to why the business struggles, which is pathetic coming from "leadership" multiple times a year. Research the new leadership that has joined this company and you'll find out they just hop from company to company and avoid taking ownership for making really poor choices at previous employers.
