Pros

The work can be interesting and the clients are appreciative and see the value of the service the company is providing. You'll work with intelligent people who are motivated.

Cons

Management's goal of growth isn't aligned with their sales compensation plan and has lead to many disincentivized workers. There are only increases in compensation when you are promoted to a new title, and upward mobility is severely limited. Two people on my team haven't seen an increase despite good performance reviews in 3 and 5 years respectively. Also to note, this year quotas increased roughly 30% with no increase in pay. It's hard to hear the mantra of "we are dedicated to recruiting and retaining top talent," when the structure in place does anything but that.

Pros

The job wasn't bad. I got to speak with some pretty cool people!

Cons

The culture and the constant pressure from upper management. There's a reason almost all of the recent positive reviews are from VPs and Managers. People earn the title manager just because there's no other career growth within the company. Goals are unreasonable and the micromanagement is ridiculous. If you're an associate, expect to work 50+ hours a week in order to just barely scrape by.

Pros

Met some of the most ambitious, driven, motivated individuals at GLG.

Cons

Don't know where to begin but here it goes... This role is stressful and there's a whole lot that's not within your control. You will work hard but the numbers will not reflect the efforts you put into this job. You don't get the results you should be seeing after putting in more than 50 hours a week. They will always tell you "just focus on what you can control," but if you missed your metrics they will fire you. Your role as a membership recruiter is to bring in C-suite executives into the network just to be wasting their times on clients who's flaky and will ghost you. I get up to 10 call cancellations per month that could've count toward me delivering my duty/job but no, it doesn't. Management don't take that into considerations. This job will make you question yourself and your ability to be competent. There's no culture within the company and management doesn't put any efforts into making the employees stay at the company. How could we have any culture when the colleague you become friends with leave within 3-6 months? There's no point in making any efforts to the company's culture when you're stressing out everyday thinking if you're gonna be here the next month or not. Parking situation- It is getting too expensive to park downtown and our reimbursement only cover a small portion. I can't believe I have to pay $200/month to go to work. If you're a CDA on the 2nd floor....you know how cold the dungeon is and you also know that employee's happiness is not at all a priority for management when they don't even provide a proper sitting area in the kitchen. The table stools are as high as the table... ha ha ha
