When you first interview at GLG, you will think you have found the best job opportunity. - You have to typically work extra hours to succeed at this job. I would start work at 8/8:30am and not log off until around 7pm. It's not a requirement but there's a lot of pressure to meet your metrics and if you do not meet them, you are placed on a PIP. - Horrible work life balance. This job is very stressful. The amount of work you juggle in a single day should be illegal. Sometimes I didn't even have time to get up to eat or even use the bathroom. By the time work is over, I'm drained and I don't have energy to do anything else. - They will say everyone gets the same opportunity to succeed but that's wrong. Certain people get better projects than others and are able to meet their metrics faster. Upper management does not care about that either. If you don't meet your metrics, your job is at risk despite what you went through. - They say "unlimited PTO" but the reality is, you are still required to meet the same amount of metrics despite how many days you take off. So it's really "unlimited PTO at your own risk" - I was laid off in the middle of a work day with a 2 weeks severance package and when the meeting ended, they revoked my access to absolutely everything literally 2 minutes later.
- Last but not least, you will think the people here are your friends. LOL think again. They are trauma bonds and nothing more. You don't even have time to make friends here, the work is too much to do so.
Apply to work here if you want your life to be miserable. Please remember that you will spend most of your day at work and not that much time for your family at the end of the day. Keep that in mind when applying!
