      Great company for interns - they want you to come back.

      Pros

      As an intern, we were treated to several trips and generous travel reimbursements to tour facilities around the area in Madison, Waukesha, and Milwaukee. It was a flexible job and I was repeatedly told by my manager not to work more than 40 hours per week since we're not paid for that.

      Cons

      As a large corporation, some of the global decisions made are not supportive towards an individual site, such as a hiring freeze.

      GE is global brand that looks good on paper and give s you instant credibility in the industry, this can help.

      Cons

      There are very few opportunities to move upward or advance. Co workers typically leave for more established pharmaceutical / health care companies

      Pros

      Things seem to get done. Sure there is a lot of pressure at times, but at the end of the day there is usually something out the door that someone will buy.

      Cons

      Very process oriented to the point that it greatly burdens creativity and software development. There is claim of a meritocracy but some people seem to get away with doing way less than others unnoticed.
