Lots of smart and driven people constantly in the door due to brand recognition and cutting edge work. Opportunities to move and branch out

Cons

System too bureaucratic that eventually wear smart and driven people and end up leaving. Very poor diversity ratio in upper management with noticeable discrimination and retaliation. HR and senior leadership acknowledge discrimination and retaliation but refuse to act which serve as catalyst.

Professional atmosphere with a slightly below average diversity mixture. GE Aviation is a large enough company that you can change professions without ever leaving the company.

Cons

If you don't begin your career at GE, the opportunity for advancement is minimal. GE tends to select future leaders right out of collage and then grooms them for advancement.

The environment can be so intense that you end up getting sucked into working ridiculous hours. The Edison Development Program creates challenges for those not a part of it -- a lot of young people coming in and out of your programs with little experience -- Edisons seem to get preferential treatment, Definitely a authoritarian top down environment Weird corporate culture they are trying to cultivate
