      Pros

      Unlimited opporunities, but you need to have the drive to make it happen.

      Cons

      "Harsh" culture. If you can't stomach being called out for shortfalls this is not the place for you.

      -Extremely gratifying product -Lots of different problems and challenges -Job security

      Cons

      -Extremely ridged culture -Technical savy takes a back seat to inertia and circumstantial experience -Middle management is filled with unqualified 'go getters' interested in one big project and then flying off to their next job (I had three managers in 2 years) -Upper management has no vision -GE takes advantage of it's name and product to pay you 30% less than other companies -Health benefits are next to nill. People going without seeing proper medical attention for severe medical conditions is a popular and daily occurance.
