      Pros

      Leading edge of the aviation industry, I get to work with incredibly talented individuals, good pay, good benefits and the stability of a big name like GE is nice.

      Cons

      Can sometimes be top heavy, I think the management structure could probably be reworked a bit, as with any large corporation sometimes things move slowly.

      Opportunities to work on latest jet engine technology Access to most advanced engineering resources Now providing competitive vacation packages earlier (also 2 weeks for paternity leave)

      Cons

      Management usually seems focused on meeting metrics which often drive negative behaviors Systems engineering never seems to provide enough time in schedule for projects Older employees often very cynical about any new initiatives company is pushing Lots of young engineers trying desperately to fill the shoes of the 10-15 year experience employees that don't exist, because business didn't hire anyone in 90's Forcing senior engineers to retire early even though business appears to be doing great, leaving a knowledge gap that can be tough to fill
