      Awful company - stay away

      Pros

      They close for two weeks at Christmas. The basic salaries are competitive. Don't believe the positive reviews - most are written by management to try to negate the negative reviews.

      Cons

      Awful working conditions, unprofessional approach to things. Unfortunately they deserve the negative reputation they have. There were some attempts at improving things - but this was short lived as Spencer wasn't willing to make the changes that were needed. The sad thing is that they have some lovely, talented people working there, but they haven't experienced anything else, and think that its normally to work in those conditions.

      fun people to work with, travel a bit, nice office

      Horrible business model, no management, they hire/fire in large groups. Please keep in mind there are two sides to GDS Sponsorship Sales which Cold Calls Relentlessly in hopes of scamming someone out of 50k by selling off a fake list and selling unrealistic EPP's than there are delegates where the fun begins. your job will consist of lead sourcing leads that your peers are all ready calling and then call the same people over and over and get them to join a 3-day event in a cool location but they will then spend 6-11 hours in vendor meetings which they will hate

A dynamic company should always be a part of a dynamic location! We’re sorry to hear your full experience is not meeting your expectations though. The sales environment at GDS is very dynamic and we use a variety of sales techniques; great prospecting means that we do not only use social media channels and face-to-face methods but we also use phone based techniques as a means of connecting with our customers on a personal level. We realise that for some individuals that this is not their preferred means of prospecting and therefore these individuals I regret would not be a good fit for our organisation.       fake reviews - 7 reviews written by management - dated June 26 and June 23

      the last 7 reviews are completely fake, written by management / people coerced by management to write these. the only thing good about this company are the co-workers, ping pong and occasional travel. base pay is way below market rate. very hard to sell products when person on the other end of the phone with even the smallest degree of common sense Google's GDS Group and finds Ripoff reports. $50k to sponsor an event with fake people attending - yea, no thanks.

      Cons

      pay is low. 10% of the office makes decent money. rest of the people work for a few months and finds another sales gig. extremely high turnover. fired 14 people in one day out of nowhere...
