GOOD PAY UNTIL HOURS GET CUT AGAIN AND AGAIN
Pros
The pay is above-average as far as hourly rate. Most of the clients are great and treat you as one of their own. The medical coverage is good, though very expensive if you need dependent coverage.
Cons
1. CONSTANT payroll shortages, especially if you work a special post for 7th day. You have to fight tooth and nail to get paid for it, and it takes weeks or months. Or, for things like driving to do your firearm paperwork and pick up your firearm, you will never see your pay for that. 2. They constantly cut you down to 4 1/2 days until the client complains, then back to six days until the cycle begins again. Your pay can vary hundreds of dollars per week. 3. The firearms provided are dinosaurs. You may be in an armed post for months unarmed. 4. Getting time off when you actually want a day off is Mission Impossible.
