Long-term outlook. Management answers to family shareholders who want long-term return, not the quick buck of required from public companies. Great co-workers and management. Benefits are great!

Cons

It is a large company (32,000 employees). Communication has to be improved between business segments. Limited growth/advancement opportunities.

The company produces outstanding products.

Cons

Employees are not encouraged to grow within the company. In order to grow one must basically leave the company. Lack of internal promotions are a key reason many associates depart. There is little to no discussion on behalf of management as to how an associate can move to the next level with the company. Milan, OH facility famous for promoting and hiring men and ignoring qualified wormen. The real clencher: A raise every three years.
