Poor company culture

Pros

Decent office location and good perks.

Cons

Extremely toxic workplace culture. There is both an “old boys club” and a “mean girls club”. If you’re not a part of the “in-group” you will be treated horribly. Workplace balance doesn’t really exist.

High-quality firm

Pros

It's the Cravath of the UK: very sophisticated and sharp colleagues and clients. Very polite place, and much more civilized than other large law firms in NYC. Note: My last year there was 2003, but I couldn't list that above.

Cons

Hours could be long but that's how large law firms are.
