Pros

Good salary for paralegals, overtime given Work can be challenging - you’re not stuck doing admin tasks such as filing, making bundles ect

Cons

No career progression for paralegals - but that is to be expected Very long hours that you are expected to be available to work - almost always working 9:30am-11pm Can get political - my dealings with “paralegals” based in Manchester are that they are completely hopeless, I am stuck fixing their work most of the time. Freshfields have spent too much money establishing Manchester to ever see that it is that bad - would rather turn a blind eye than admit they are not to the standard of London employees

Pros

Salary is reasonable Good social side

Cons

Low morale PAs treated as inferior to EAs Restaurant is not subsidised as would be expected If you are used to a fast paced working life whereby you feel utilised to the best of your abilities then do not come to FBD
