Pros

One of the top law firms in London if not the world. Great opportunities, great culture, structure, trust, opportunities.

Cons

Understand you are in a law firm and what this means. If you understand that, you will do well.

Pros

Excellent facilities, free gym membership for employees, on-site doctors, dentists, physiotherapists available free for employees, all of which are greatly convenient. There is an amazing canteen with fresh quality food every day and the staff and lawyers are extremely friendly. There is lots of diversity in employees, which is something I love. The firm has achieved an award for highest employments of the LGBT community, which speaks for itself. This firm is second to none when it comes to what they do, they cater to every employees' need and offers top legal advice for their clients. The culture and atmosphere of the firm is always full of enthusiasm and integrity, and there is always someone to offer you help when you need it. Employees are paid very well and pay rises over the years you stay with the firm. The firm has superb corporate responsibilities, such as environmental commitments, pro bono talks and much more (can be accessed from the website. Working hours for the typical employee is from 9.30am to 5.30pm (Monday to Friday). All employees also get a 25 - day paid holiday leave and good benefits and pension scheme.

Cons

Of course being a part of the magic circle the firm is always busy working hard and it requires commitment and hard work from their employees. At times it may be difficult to manage a work-life balance but, when one is under those circumstances the law firms investments in facilities and services make up for it. Organisation and discipline is key.
