Pros

Some very nice colleagues with great experience. Culturally truly diverse. Many fee earners were nice and easy to work with.

Cons

Where do I start? People in Business Services, particularly in Manchester are under-valued and not appreciated by the management. Unbelievable favouritism. If you are the management;s favourite, you get away with lot i.e. being late every day and doing little or no work, followed by a promotion. If you are not, you are quickly managed out. namely by using PIPs and other 'tools'. A lot of time and money is spent on Continuous Improvement with no or little positive result. Courses involved building legos! Come one, this is supposed to be a Magic Circle law firm. Document production workflow system doesn't work but you can say so. It's all political. Far too much money has been spent on it. High turnover of staff, many leaving all of a sudden.
