The job itself is easy, if there's a work/life balance
Pros
Good coworkers, most of the customers are very nice and understanding, and so far I've been able to learn and pick up on things very fast. Overall, training was a bit chaotic but went well.
Cons
I literally just started on June 6th. I wasn't even working at the store, I spent my entire first day doing orientation. That consisted of reading and programs on the computer for hours on end. Very understaffed, and am not allowed to use the register until I take an 8 hour class to get "certified." That slows things down because I have to wait for someone else to do it even if there isn't any help in the deli during that time and my coworkers go on break. Not to mention HR scheduled me for a class but sent me to the wrong store. I also don't appreciate working 7 or more days straight on inconsistent hours and days but having the pay period split into two different weeks so I don't get paid any overtime.
