Large centralized (in store) workforce ensures you will get along with *someone* Competitive wages Benefits (discounts, health, etc.) Challenging work (you will never be bored and for me that's a plus) Nice customers Amazing lower management (hit and miss however generally competent and understanding)
Cons
Consistent corporate meddling Frequent upper management meddling Expect to fight tooth and nail for anything extra Competency is meaningless anywhere beyond PIC Managers have complete dominion in respective departments, do NOT expect a fun work life if you can't get along with some managers. Useless corporate training Obnoxious patronage. The register (at the deli), people will frequently come to you simply because they do not wish to use the self checkout or wait in line, or simply walk the ten yards to an empty checker.
